Should I read Vagabond? I’ve never read a manga before, but I am a big comic fan and the only thing keeping me from reading it is its lack of an ending due to the hiatus.

Vagabond is a manga series written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue. The series tells the fictional story of Miyamoto Musashi, Japan's most famous swordsman, and his journey during the Sengoku period. The manga was published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from 1998 to 2008, with the chapters collected into 38 tankōbon volumes. However, publication of the manga came to a temporary halt after volume 35 when Inoue suffered an injury that left him unable to draw for a year. Vagabond resumed serialization on January 4, 2010 in its original magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump. As of March 2016, 37 volumes have been released in Japan.
